Curtain wall facades at the Bursa Regional Court of Appeal complex in Altınova, Osmangazi and the Bursa Courthouse Annex Building.
The Bursa Regional Court of Appeal complex, one of the city’s major public buildings, stands on 11 Eylül Boulevard in Altınova, Osmangazi. Its tower block and connected service blocks are wrapped in a curtain wall that emphasises their vertical rhythm. At the Bursa Courthouse Annex Building shown in the project video, glazing was adapted to the curved floor lines.
For the long service life, energy efficiency and easy maintenance expected of public buildings, insulated solar-control glazing, thermally broken aluminium profiles and aluminium composite panels were combined. Fire and acoustic barrier details were applied at slab edges.
Installation was carried out in phases, prioritising safety and the schedule of busy courthouses.
